You Call it Fruitcake, NBN Calls It Building Blocks

In other food news, that is if you consider holiday fruitcakes something edible, the Wall Street Journal reported that four fruitcake manufacturers filed a formal request with the FDA to cut the serving size for fruitcake by two-thirds. The petition was filed with the hope that a smaller serving size, which would translate into lower calories per portion on the ingredient label, would boost sales among diet conscious consumers. Are these people soaked in the liqueur in wich they make their cakes? Do they actually think people avoid buying fruitcake because they don’t want to get fat? Wake up and smell the candied citron folks, it’s the taste not the calories.

Happy Holidaze!
