Kennedy, Corzine, Introduce Bill to Track Cost of Wal-Mart’s Uninsured Workers
The Health Care Accountability Act introduced June 22 would require states to report the number of employees of large companies who because of the lack of employer based health coverage, receive public funded health care in an effort, according to a press release to “uncover the true costs of the Wal-Mart economy.”
See www.wakeupwalmart.com for more information on the Fair Share Health Care campaign.
Wal-Mart was reported to be the leading contributor to the failure of votes in California to pass a ballot initiative requiring large corporations to offer minimum health benefits to employers.
