The Sunday New York Times featured a story about the activist group Fallen Fruit which created the country’s first public fruit park in an unincorporated part of Los Angeles. In addition the trio of activists also have created a map of “publicly accessible fruit trees in Silver Lake and other Los Angeles neighborhoods, including private trees with succulent fruit tantalizingly draped over public rights of way.”
